Aileen Hoe

Aileen is an educationist who bridges creativity, leadership, and heartfelt purpose in her work with children and teachers. With a strong foundation in Kindergarten education, child psychology, and teacher development, she brings a wealth of experience to the Waldorf Kindergarten community. At the school, Aileen supports educators through mentoring and programme development, encouraging creative teaching through music, movement, and language.

Her contributions extend beyond the classroom — she serves as Vice President of the Association of Toy Libraries Malaysia, and as Co-founder and Director of English Champ and Kinder Champ. Aileen also consults with schools and organisations on Kindergarten programmes and family engagement. Her work reflects her belief that education is a shared journey of growth, creativity, and service to the community.

Chloe Ng Chia Hui

Chloe draws inspiration from Waldorf Early Childhood education, valuing rhythm, imagination, and the unfolding of each child's growth. With an Early Childhood Certificate (ECC) from Rudolf Steiner College, Australia, she brings warmth and presence to her work with children and families. She offers baby-massage sessions and leads parent study groups that nurture connection and mindful care. She is inspired by Steiner and the practice of anthroposophy, which continues to guide her journey of learning and contribution to the community.

Ty Yuon

Originally from Cambodia, TY Yuon came to Malaysia in her early years and found her calling while assisting in a Waldorf Early Childhood. With eleven years of experience in Waldorf Early Childhood education, she brings gentleness, creativity, and dedication to her work with young children. She has worked closely with a Waldorf Early Childhood mentor from Taiwan for many years and continues her studies through the Early Childhood Education Malaysia (ECEM) program, now in her third year. She enjoys crafting toys from natural materials and caring for plants and vegetables with her green fingers.

Chow Feng Yan

Feng Yan began her journey in education at Cixin Waldorf Preschool in Ipoh, where she served as a kindergarten teacher for several years. With a background in art as a wall artist and a love for creating with her hands, she brings imagination and beauty into her work with children. Her interests in drawing, sewing, cooking, and crafting with natural materials nurture creativity and a sense of wonder in the young child. She is in her third year of the Early Childhood Education Malaysia (ECEM) program, deepening her understanding of child development and Waldorf education.

Yap Mae Ann

Mae Ann has over 15 years of teaching experience in early childhood education, rooted in the Montessori approach of child-led exploration, creativity, and respect for each child's individuality. She founded Happy Early Years (HEY), a home-based programme where she guided children through cooking, crafting, gardening, and storytelling—experiences that nurture imagination and joyful learning. Drawn to Waldorf education for its hands-on learning and connection with nature, she sees this as a meaningful opportunity to grow and broaden her practice, bringing her creativity, love for nature, and joy in working with children into the Waldorf classroom.

Jessica Ee Boon Nee

Jessica discovered the transformative power of working with children while serving as a substitute kindergarten teacher in 2012. Moved by their openness and wonder, she found her true calling in education. Though she had completed a Bachelor's Degree in Law, this experience inspired her to pursue a Master's Degree in Waldorf Education at Freie Hochschule Stuttgart, Germany. Guided by a holistic approach that integrates thinking, feeling, and movement, Jessica is also undertaking Bothmer Gymnastics Teacher Training to deepen her understanding of how movement supports learning. She strives to create a warm, inclusive classroom where children grow with confidence, joy, and purpose.

Celene Yeap Zi Ling

Before devoting her time to teaching at KLSS, Celene was a Certified Chartered Accountant (ACCA) and worked in the audit field for seven years. After becoming a mother, her journey of self-discovery through meditation and inner work led her to find her true calling in education—to inspire lifelong learning and help children unfold their unique capacities. Her deep interest in human and child psychology later led her to explore family therapy, broadening her understanding of the child within the family and community. She has undertaken the three-year Malaysia Waldorf Teacher Preparation (MWTP) program and continues to grow through both professional and inner development. Celene sees teaching as a shared journey of growth, where learning flows both ways between teacher and student.

Low Yih Hwey

Yih Hwey began her career as a Chinese Language teacher under Singapore's Ministry of Education, where she built a strong foundation in teaching and language development. Her path later expanded into holistic healing and emotional well-being, leading her to become a Certified Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT) Practitioner and Hypnotherapist. Her journey as a parent drew her to Waldorf education, where she found resonance with its rhythm, balance, and respect for each child's individuality. With her background in hypnotherapy, she brings calm awareness and empathy into her teaching, helping children feel safe, understood, and engaged in their learning.

Chai Lai Han

Lai Han's work is grounded in the artistic and practical life of Waldorf education. As a handwork teacher for Grades 1–9, she nurtures children's will, imagination, and patience through fibre craft, seasonal work, and creative making. She finds meaning in guiding children to develop perseverance, coordination, and inner confidence through their hands. With ongoing studies in Handwork and Biography Work, she brings mindful awareness and heartfelt craftsmanship to her teaching, enriching the cultural and communal life of the school.

Tan Hway Yin

Hway Yin brings warmth and attentiveness to her music teaching, guiding children from Kindergarten to young adulthood through piano, singing, and creative group work. With advanced training in piano and voice, and further studies in Kindermusik, Kodály, Dalcroze, and Music Mind Games, she supports each child's musical growth through play, movement, and joyful participation. She believes in lifelong learning and values every teaching experience as part of her own growth.

Olga Belousova

Olga's work is deeply rooted in the artistic and human-centered principles of Waldorf education. With a background in Art History and Art Therapy, she has taught in Waldorf schools and homeschooling communities across Russia, Kazakhstan, and Malaysia. Her teaching unites creativity, movement, and emotional awareness—awakening imagination and supporting the inner development of the child. Through art, rhythm, and sensory experience, she helps cultivate balance, confidence, and joy in learning.

Shalini Krishnan

With over ten years of experience in preschool education and leadership, Shalini is dedicated to guiding both teachers and children in their learning journey. Her work spans classroom teaching, academic planning, and parent engagement, always grounded in care and collaboration. She believes education should nurture the whole child through stories, music, movement, and meaningful hands-on experiences. Shalini holds an Executive Diploma in Early Childhood Education from the University of Malaya (2011) and is currently pursuing a Master's in Education at AEU University.

NoorHaswani binti Zailan

Haswani values teaching that connects learning with curiosity, creativity, and confidence. Passionate about engaging children through movement, storytelling, and practical experiences, she creates lessons that encourage participation and joy. She also contributes to school life as the Student Council Lead Advisor. Haswani holds a Bachelor of Education (Mathematics major, English minor) from Universiti Tun Abdul Razak (2013) and continues to develop her practice through Waldorf teacher training and professional studies.

Elin Chong

Elin approaches teaching with patience and attentiveness, creating a classroom where children feel supported and confident to express themselves. Her love for language and storytelling helps students experience learning as something joyful and alive. She believes education should nurture curiosity, understanding, and a love for discovery. Elin continues to grow in her work with children through daily teaching and her ongoing studies in BA (Hons) Early Childhood Education at Asia e University.

Angelina Edward

Angelina Edward joins us as the Malay language teacher for Grades 1 to 8. A native speaker who grew up within Malaysia's national school system, she holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering. Her children have been part of our Steiner community for the past six years, giving her a heartfelt understanding of the values and rhythm of Waldorf education.

Angelina brings with her professional experience from the oil and gas sector, as well as five years of leading a company in the social impact space. Although this is her first formal teaching position, she has created industry educational modules and mentored junior professionals, guiding them with clarity and care. Her transition into teaching is inspired by a deep love for language and an appreciation for the Waldorf approach, which honours the unfolding of the whole child.

Esther Gwee

Esther is a dedicated eurythmist and a certified coach in both the ABSR stress relief program and in supporting Highly Sensitive Persons. She holds bachelor's degrees in Finance and Investment and in Eurythmy, and is currently expanding her expertise by pursuing a master's degree in Eurythmy Therapy beginning in 2024.

Her journey into spiritual and anthroposophical studies began in 2009. Since 2017, she has been actively promoting Waldorf education and related initiatives within mainstream school settings. Now serving as a Eurythmy teacher at a Waldorf school, Esther is passionate about designing programs that share the beauty and purpose of Eurythmy. She is committed to ongoing professional growth, regularly participating in advanced seminars including the 2025 Peace Festivals, the 2024 Online Trauma Conference, Healing of Cancer, and studies on the Eightfold Path.

Esther has performed internationally in Georgia, Germany Witten Annen and Stuttgart Eurythmeum, Switzerland the Goetheanum in Dornach, the United Kingdom Rudolf Steiner House, Esk Valley Camphill, Michael Hall Steiner Waldorf School, and in India. Her work embodies Rudolf Steiner's insight that Eurythmy is essential to the human being, a meaningful art that supports the child's development and nurtures a living connection with life and purpose.

Elyn Tan Ee Leen

Elyn is an English educator with a first-class Bachelor’s degree in English Studies and over a decade of experience teaching learners from early childhood to IGCSE and diploma level, across schools, tuition centres, and home-learning settings.

Her teaching is guided by a whole-child approach, creating a classroom environment that is warm, rhythmic, and engaging, where children feel safe, confident, and motivated to learn. Alongside academic development, she places strong emphasis on communication, imagination, and character.

Reflective and dedicated, Elyn continually refines her practice to meet the needs of her students. She brings patience, empathy, and steady classroom presence, supporting joyful and meaningful learning experiences that help each child thrive.

Leong Eu Fai

Leong Eu Fai's relationship with nature began in childhood, growing up on a farm with his grandparents. Over the years, he received mentorship in jungle survival from Vee and Raman, obtained seafaring and diving licences, and volunteered in the jungles of Costa Rica and Sabah. These experiences shaped his deep respect for the natural world and the wisdom it offers.

He was first inspired to become a teacher by his own teachers, and today continues to be inspired by his students. In guiding the children outdoors, his intention is to cultivate understanding, instinct, and a sense of relationship with the environment, developed through real experiences and attentive observation.

Gideon Lim Li Qian

Gideon Lim Li Qian is a self-taught regenerative farmer who practises organic and biodynamic methods and holds a degree in Business and Marketing Management from the University of Sunderland in the United Kingdom. His calling to teach grew from his own learning experiences, beginning with his own hands-on and sensory ways of learning as a child and later deepening when he established his organic community farm, where he welcomed volunteers, including young children who were captivated by the simple wonders of seeds, flowers, insects, and earthworms. Witnessing their joy and curiosity helped him recognise the power of nature to awaken inquisitive minds and inspired him to support the next generation of nature lovers through experiential and earth based learning.

His teaching philosophy is rooted in nature's wisdom, where a seed needs good soil, water, and sunlight to thrive and a tree must be tended to bear fruit. In the same way, natural talent must be nurtured with care, guidance, and discipline in an environment that supports each child to grow into a human being with strong values.

Honey Khor Pei Yeou

With over thirty years of experience in art and education, Honey, continues to deepen her studies in Transpersonal Art Therapy, Biography Work, child development, and the healing nature of creativity.

Her path as a teacher began with a profound recognition of how art touches the human heart. She has seen how colours, movement, and imagination help children, especially those who are sensitive or neurodivergent, unfold with confidence and joy. These experiences continue to inspire her dedication to guide children with warmth and understanding.

Honey's teaching is gentle, warm, and centred on the child. She creates a safe and nurturing space where students feel free to explore, express, and grow at their own rhythm. To her, art is far more than a skill. It is a doorway to self-awareness, joy, and inner strength.

Ivy Chang

Ivy is a highly experienced musician and educator who has worked across Singapore, Taiwan, and Malaysia, bringing over 20 years of experience in the music industry. She specialises in piano, violin, cello, and string ensemble instruction and is deeply passionate about music education.

Committed to helping students realise their full potential, Ivy brings structured guidance and thoughtful coaching to her teaching. Over the years, she has taught students of all ages and levels, with many achieving distinctions in music examinations and receiving awards at both local and international competitions. Through her work, Ivy hopes to nurture a new generation of musicians, fostering both technical excellence and a lifelong appreciation for music.

Tan Hui Kee

Graduated with a BA (Hons) in Classical Music from UCSI, Hui Kee began her teaching journey in 2008, where she developed a deep appreciation for how music shapes a child's inner life. Her passion for nurturing young learners soon led her to establish Blue Grass Music & Arts in 2010, a school dedicated to bringing quality music education to children and families.

In 2024, she became the first certified Music Mind Games USA teacher trainer in Southeast Asia and the eighth worldwide, an achievement that reflects her dedication to meaningful and joyful music learning. This recognition strengthened her commitment to sharing music in ways that gently inspire both children and educators.

A decade into teaching, Hui Kee discovered Waldorf education, a philosophy that resonated with her beliefs in harmony, imagination, and the wholeness of childhood. In 2019, she became a Waldorf music teacher, finding renewed purpose in guiding children through music that awakens both heart and spirit.

Matthew Betts

Daryl Chong Kwong Loong

Daryl's deep interest in the natural world led him to pursue a BSc (Hons) in Wildlife Conservation and Ecology, followed by an MSc in Wildlife Conservation at the University of Chester in the UK. The growing gap between public priorities and the declining state of nature has long concerned him, and this awareness ultimately drew him into education. He hopes to share meaningful knowledge about the natural world with children and to nurture empathy, respect, and genuine care for it.

In the classroom, Daryl aims to be both a friend and a big brother to the children. He approaches learning with the playful curiosity and investigative spirit that come naturally to young minds while maintaining the grounded authority they need. He believes this balance creates a unique relationship that bridges being their equal and their guide and allows him to support their growth with warmth, enthusiasm, and authentic connection.

Poh Ding Shan

Ding Shan is a movement and games educator with a strong foundation in Waldorf education and Anthroposophy. He is currently undertaking the Bothmer Movement International three-year teacher qualification and continues to deepen his practice through international training.

His journey into education began through his studies in Anthroposophical child development, where he discovered that working with children is both his natural gift and source of joy. After training as a Waldorf Primary teacher, he spent over 3 years as a class teacher before focusing more deeply on movement and games.

For Ding Shan, movement is more than physical activity — it supports children in developing spatial awareness, confidence, and a healthy sense of orientation in the world. He creates a calm, joyful, and warmly supportive learning environment that nurtures the balanced development of body, soul, and spirit.

Maisyarah Mazlan

Maisyarah graduated with First-Class Honours in Theatre (Directing) from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), specialising in children's theatre. She later trained for a few months with Garasi Performance Institute (GPI) in Indonesia, and continued her practice in Yogyakarta as an independent artist, exploring contemporary puppetry.

Theatre has played a central role in shaping who she is, and this is what inspired her to teach. Maisyarah believes education is more than academic achievement, and that artistic approaches can meaningfully support children's learning, confidence, and communication. She sees teaching as a shared journey, where drama helps students explore, express, and grow, while she continues learning alongside them.

De Zen Teh

Zen completed her Bachelor of Music at the University of Glasgow, Scotland, and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Performing Arts at the Faculty of Creative Arts, University Malaya.

She is inspired by educators who treat learning as a lifelong journey, guided by reverence and openness. Zen hopes to continue that spirit by helping children feel at home in the world, even amid changing times, and to grow the courage to live with confidence and love.

In her classroom, children are welcomed into a safe space to explore, try, and begin again. Mistakes are seen as part of learning, and each moment is an invitation to discover something new.

Tan Su Teng

Su Teng has completed Waldorf primary school teacher training, three years of art classes, and various short workshops in Waldorf teaching and art. She is currently pursuing Waldorf high school teacher training and continuing her studies in veil painting.
